A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AN ADVANCE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION
OF THE SOUTH PIPELINE ROAD BRIDGE OVER HURRICANE
CREEK.
WHEREAS, the South Pipeline Road bridge suffered irreparable substructure damage
due to flooding on or before April 24, 2002, causing the closure of South Pipeline Road;
and
WHEREAS, the South Pipeline Road bridge has been included in the currently
approved off-site system federal aid Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation
Program as authorized by Texas Transportation Commission Minute Order number
108912, dated May 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless desires to enter into an Advance Funding Agreement
with the Texas Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of the South Pipeline
Road bridge over Hurricane Creek.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, authorizes the City
Manager to execute an Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of
Transportation for the reconstruction of the South Pipeline Road bridge over Hurricane
Creek.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED at the regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the
25th day of June, 2002, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
