HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-1137 10-22-2002RESOLUTION NO. 02 -1137 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE FINAL BID OFFER RECEIVED AT A SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF LOT 8, BLOCK 6, BELL RANCH TERRACE ADDITION, HELD ON OCTOBER 10, 2002, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONVEYANCE OF SUCH PROPERTY TO THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER WHEREAS, the City of Euless conducted a Sale by Public Auction on October 10, 2002, in the City Council Chambers of the Euless Municipal Complex of a city - owned parcel of land known as Lot 8, Block 6, Bell Ranch Terrace Addition, located on the east side of Calvary Drive in Euless, Tarrant County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a final successful bid was received during such auction that was in the amount of the minimum acceptable bid of seven - thousand dollars and no /100 dollars ($7,000.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS: SECTION I THAT the City Council ratifies the final successful bid of David Keener, BNR Properties, 1905 Industrial Blvd., Colleyville, Texas, 76034, in the amount of $7,000.00 received during the Sale by Public Auction of Lot 8, Block 6, Bell Ranch Terrace Addition, Euless, Tarrant County, Texas. SECTION II THAT upon the city's receipt from the successful bidder of certifiable funds evidenced by money order, cashier's or certified check in the amount of the successful bid, the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute in favor of such successful bidder a Special Warranty Deed conveying such property. PRESENTED AND PASSED on the 22 "d day of October, 2002, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
