Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the
Hurst - Euless- Bedford Economic Development Foundation along with representatives
from the City of Hurst, City of Bedford, Hurst - Euless- Bedford Independent School
District and the HEB Chamber of Commerce on Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Pat
May Center in Bedford, Texas.
Representatives from the City of Euless included:
Mayor Pro Tem Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Perry Bynum and Lisa Bynum
Council Member Linda Eilenfeldt
Council Member Linda Martin
City Manager Gary McKamie
Deputy City Manager Loretta Getchell
Assistant City Manager Chris Barker
Director of Planning and Economic Development Mike Collins
City Secretary Kim Sutter
Following dinner, the meeting was called to order at 6:19 p.m. by HEB Economic
Development Foundation (HEB EDF) Chairman Bill McLendon. The invocation was
given by Faye Beaulieu. Linda Eilenfeldt led the Pledge of Allegiance.
HEB EDF Chair Mr. McClendon recognized the members of the HEB EDF Board of
Directors for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014, and reviewed the economic indicators and related
statistics for the three cities.
HEB Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mary Frazior announced and
reviewed the following Chamber programs:
- Chamber Lunch Mob
- Construction Card
- Young Entrepreneurs
HEB Business EXPO
Hurst- Euless - Bedford Independent School District Superintendent Steve Chapman
presented an update of programs and activities related to the school district.
Bedford Economic Development Director Bill Syblon, Euless Director of Planning and
Economic Development Mike Collins, and Hurst Economic Development Director
Steve Bowden each presented development updates related to activities in their
respective cities during the past year.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:22 p.m.
