Euless City Council
May 24, 1956
The City Council of Euless, Texas met in
a special session called by Mayor Payton for 7:00 p.m., May 24, 1956.
Present were Mayor Jimmy Payton, Council-
men J. S. Anderson, W, H. Fuller, and Ernest Millican, Jr. Also present was
City Secretary Thos. A. Kennard.
The meeting was called to order by the
Mayor.
The primary purpose of the meeting was
to consider the approval of the Johnson - Campbell plat, Park Crestmoor.
Mayor Payton read a letter .from
Attorney Gleeson advisory to the pipelines in Ridgecrest Drive, in which
he also advised the approval of the plat conditionally.
On a motion by Councilman Millican,
seconded by Councilman Fuller, the City Council unanimously approved the
plat. But, the motion further stipulated that approval of the dedication
would be withheld until such dedication be presented in proper form to
comply with city ordinances.
The summer recreational program for
the Euless -Hurst schools was discussed, but no action taken pending more
definite information as to the plans, procedure and needs.
The City Secretary was instructed to
advise Mr. Gleeson of the approval of the Johnson - Campbell plat and
ascertain if there were contempt charges against the City of Euless, and
if so, the specific charges, or contents and if the City, after approving
the Johnson - Campbell plat, is still in contempt of court and if so,
what the City is to do about it.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.,
by the Mayor.
