Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.
Chairman Mike McGehee presented Betty Fuller with a plaque of appreciation in honor of her many years of
service as a Euless Library Board member.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the minutes of
the November 7, 2013 meeting. Barney Snitz made the motion to accept the minutes and Allan Gibbs seconded
the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Mike McGehee welcomed all of the visitors to the meeting.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Stats continue to look good.
The library collected non-perishable items for Food for Fines from November 4th through 11th. We collected
over 1200 items,which were split between 6 Stones and First Methodist Church.
The library book sale was held Friday,November 15th through Sunday,November 17th. As of the end of the
day on Saturday the Library Foundation had raised over$1700. The total amount raised will probably exceed
$2000.
The November 11 Write Night program was a success. Michael Brown, a local author and illustrator of
children's books,presented a very interesting talk on how anyone can be an artist, with lots of hands-on
drawing demonstrations. 47 people attended the event. December's Write Night will be held on Monday,
December 9th at 6:30pm and the topic is Christmas cards.
Eric Litwin, author of Pete the Cat, will be performing his children's songs and music at the library on Saturday,
December 14th at 10:30 am. A holiday craft time will follow.
Flutasia flute choir will perform holiday music in the library Meeting Room on Monday, December 6th at
7:30pm.
Upcoming Masterworks performances in the library Meeting Room:
• Havana NRG (Latin/Salsa) Monday, January 13th at 7:00pm
• The Les Elgart Orchestra(big band/swing) Monday, February 10th at 7:00PM

Administrators Report (continued)
New ongoing children's programs beginning in January:
1. Sunday Storytime, 2:00 pm on the fourth Sunday of the month
2. New rotation of after-school programs for elementary-age children, each Wednesday at 4:00pm
beginning on January Stn:
• First Wednesday: Game-a-rama(board games or Wii)
• Second Wednesday: Candy Science
• Third Wednesday: Arts and Crafts
• Fourth Wednesday: Lego Mania
• Fifth Wednesday: Movie Time
DISCUSSIONS:
1. Betty Fuller shared her love and historical memories of the library
2. Loretta Doty complimented the Christmas decorations
3. Barney Snitz inquired about the Masterwork performances for 2014
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Barney Snitz and seconded by
Allan Gibbs. The meeting was adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
