RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NECESSITY FOR
THE ACQUISITION OF TWO PARCELS OF REAL
ESTATE REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
FIRE STATION AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
SOUTH MAIN STREET AND ROSS AVENUE AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF EULESS
TO TAKE SUCH ACTIONS AS ARE NECESSARY TO
ACQUIRE SUCH PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has designed and desires to construct a fire
station at the southwest corner of South Main Street and Ross Avenue;
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has identified two certain parcels of real estate as
needed for the construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless finds that a public necessity
exists for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcels of real estate, and that said parcels
when taken, shall be put to a public use for the benefit of the community at large;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT there is a public necessity declared for the acquisition by the City of
Euless for the parcels described as Lots 7 and 8 of the Revised Plat of Ross Cannon
Addition to the City of Euless.
SECTION 2
THAT the Mayor or her designee is authorized to take all actions necessary and
to execute all necessary documents to acquire the 2 parcels.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, on
this 13th day of January, 2004, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
