HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-1175 05-11-2004RESOLUTION NO. 04 -1175 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A JUDGE FOR A JOINT ELECTION TO BE HELD BY THE CITY OF EULESS AND THE HURST - EULESS- BEDFORD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT ON MAY 15, 2004 WHEREAS, the City of Euless and Hurst - Euless- Bedford Independent School District will hold a joint election on May 15, 2004, and the appointment of an election judge for the Bear Creek Elementary School polling place is necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1 Voting on Election Day, May 15, 2004, shall be conducted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. SECTION 2 Tommy Daves is hereby appointed Election Judge at the Bear Creek Elementary School polling place for said election. The Presiding Election Judge shall appoint not less than two election clerks to serve and assist in conducting said election; provided, that if the Presiding Judge actually serves as expected, the Altemate Presiding Judge shall serve as one of the clerks. All appointments shall be in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Texas Election Code. Election judges shall be compensated for services rendered at a precinct polling place at an hourly rate of $8 per hour, and election clerks shall be compensated for services rendered at an hourly rate of $7.50 per hour. ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 11th day of May, 2004, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
