OF THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 9, 2014
A budget work session of the Euless City Council was called to order at 6:15 p.m. on
Monday, June 9, 2014, in the precouncil conference room at Euless City Hall, 201 North
Ector Drive, Euless, Texas.

Finance Director Janina Jewell reviewed the 2013 budget comparing the projections to
the actuals. Additionally, she reviewed the revenue and expenditure considerations as
well as the proposed capital improvement plan for the Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 budget, and
reminded the City Council of the upcoming meeting dates associated with the adoption
of the budget.
Discussion ensued regarding the impact of the health care reform act on the upcoming
budget, and staff advised the increase is expected to be at 11 percent.
The booklet of Capital and Supplemental Requests for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 was
distributed.
City Manager Gary McKamie advised the City Council that the City Manager's
recommendations and prioritization of the capital and supplemental requests will be
presented at the June 26, 2014, worksession.
Each of the departmental staff members presented, discussed and responded to
questions related to their proposed capital and supplement requests.
Council Members were reminded of the town hall meeting scheduled for Thursday, June
12, 2014, and the budget work session on Thursday, June 26, 2014.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
