HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-09-08139 Regular Meeting Euless City Council September 8, 1956 The City Council met in regular session on Saturday, September 8, 1956, at 7:15 p.m. Present were Mayor Jimmy Payton, Councilmen Lucius Anders, J. S. Anderson, W. H. Fuller, and Ernest Millican, Jr. Also present was City Secretary T. A. Kennard. Meeting with the Council was Mr. Horace Fuller'who presented a proposed plat for new development in the City. After discussion and study of the plat, the Council instructed the City Secretary to forward it to the City Planning Commission for its recommendations. After the reading and approval of past minutes, adoption of the electric and plumbing ordinances was discussed and tabled for future date. On a motion by Councilman Anders and seconded by Councilman Fuller, by unanimous approval, the Mayor was requested to write Mr. Wisenbaker 'that, "In regards to his policy of charging $4.00 minimum water fees for each trailer in trailer parks, his policy does not meet the approval of the City Council." The City Secretary was instructed to: 1. Secure, through Mr. Gleeson, additional copies of Ordinance No. 28. One copy to be given Mr. Horace Fuller. 2. Consult Mr. Gleeson in regards to the kinds of law books M r. Gray would likely need and ask Mr. Gleeson if such books are available through him. 3. Write Mr. A. H. Hillis, Box 1957, Fort Worth, Texas, asking his cooperation in getting our east end city limits sign moved to its proper place. 4. Get in touch with a supply house and determine the cost of putting rubber caps on the chairs in the community hall. The City Secertary asked for and was granted ten days leave beginning Saturday, September 15th. Councilman Anderson volunteered to care for any necessary business involving the services of the Secretary while the Secretary was absent for this period.
