A RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NECESSITY
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE
REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PAVING
IMPROVEMENTS TO GLADE ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has overseen the design and desires to construct
paving improvements to Glade Road from Champagne Boulevard to State Highway
360; and
WHEREAS, the proposed paving improvements will expand the current two lane
section into a four lane roadway with some continuous left turn lanes and medians
which will require additional right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless must provide the necessary right -of -way to
construct the proposed paving improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient right -of -way existing to
allow the proposed construction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has identified certain parcels of real estate as
needed for the construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless finds that a public necessity
exists for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcels of real estate, and that said parcels
when taken, shall be put to a public use for the benefit of the community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
There is a public necessity for the acquisition by the City of Euless of each of the
parcels described in Attachment 1.
SECTION 2
The real property interest designated for each parcel in Attachment 1 is
necessary and proper for the construction of the paving improvements to Glade Road,
and such improvements are hereby declared to be a public use for a public purpose.
SECTION 3
EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall become effective immediately from and
after its passage as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of
Texas.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED at the regular meeting of the Euless City Council
on the 8th day of February, 2005, by a vote of 7 _ ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.

GLADE ROAD
RIGHT -OF -WAY PARCELS
A generally rectangular strip of land 30 ft. wide and 125 ft. long off the north
side of a tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 6145, Page 597 of
the Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .077 acres of land more or
less.
A triangular shaped tract of land whose adjacent sides are 9 ft. long out of the
northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1 of the Carlisle Pines Addition to the City of
Euless, Texas, and containing .001 acres of land more or less.
A triangular shaped tract of land whose adjacent sides are 9 ft. long out of the
northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of the Carlisle Pines Addition to the City
of Euless, Texas, and containing .001 acres of land more or less.
4. A rectangular strip of land 15 ft. wide and 168 ft long off the north side of a
tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 11951, Page 1833, of the
Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .056 acres of land more or less.
A rectangular strip of land 15 ft. wide and 135 ft. long off the north side of a
tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 7109, Page 110 of the
Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .045 acres of land more or less.
6. A triangular shaped tract of' land whose adjacent sides are 19 ft. long out of
the northeast corner of Lot 4, Block A of the Ashbrook Estates Addition to the
City of Euless, Texas, and containing .005 acres of land more or less.
7. A generally rectangular strip of land 16 ft. wide and 255 ft long off the north
side of a tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 12136, Page 1066
of the Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .077 acres of land more or
less.
8. A rectangular strip of land 23 ft. wide and 110 ft. long off the north side of a
tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 7543, Page 987 of the
Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .031 acres of land more or less.
A rectangular strip of land 12 ft. wide and 151 ft long off the north side of a
tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 10441, Page 2400 of the
Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .038 acres of land more or less.

or less.
12. A triangular shaped tract of land whose adjacent sides are 7 ft. long out of the

13. A triangular shaped tract of land whose adjacent sides are 7 ft long out of the

14. A triangular shaped tract of land whose adjacent sides are 7 ft. long out of the
