A RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NECESSITY FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE REQUIRED FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PAVING IMPROVEMENTS TO RAIDER DRIVE
FROM SOUTH PIPELINE ROAD TO STATE HIGHWAY 10.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has overseen the design and desires to construct
paving improvements to Raider Drive from South Pipeline Road to State Highway 10;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed paving improvements will expand the current two lane
section into a three lane roadway with a continuous left turn lane which will require
additional right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless must provide the necessary right -of -way to
construct the proposed paving improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient right -of -way existing to
allow the proposed construction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has identified a certain parcel of real estate as
needed for the construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless finds that a public necessity
exists for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcel of real estate, and that said parcel when
taken, shall be put to a public use for the benefit of the community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
There is a public necessity for the acquisition by the City of Euless of the parcel
described in Attachment 1.
SECTION 2
The real property interest designated for the parcel in Attachment 1 is necessary
and proper for the construction of the paving improvements to Raider Drive, and such
improvements are hereby declared to be a public use for a public purpose.
SECTION 3
EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall become effective immediately from and
after its passage as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of
Texas.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED at the regular meeting of the Euless City Council
on the 22nd day of February, 2005, by a vote of 7 ayes 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.

ATTACHMENT
RAIDER DRIVE
RIGHT -OF -WAY PARCEL
A generally rectangular strip of land 2.6 ft. wide and 175 ft. long off the east
side of a tract of land described in deed recorded in Volume 17081, Page 281
of the Tarrant County Deed Records and containing .015 acres of land more or
less. This area includes a triangular shaped tract of land whose sides are
approximately 24 ft. and 22 ft. in length out of the northeast corner of the
property.
