AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT MANDATORY
TIME OF DAY WATERING AND LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION
RESTRICTIONS TO SUPPLEMENT THE CITY OF EULESS DROUGHT
CONTINGENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has adopted a Drought Contingency Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Drought Contingency Plan does not have mandatory time of day
watering and landscape irrigation restrictions; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant Regional Water District, the City of Arlington and the City of
Fort Worth have implemented mandatory time of day watering and landscape irrigation
restrictions; and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed desirable to have a uniform application of a
Drought Contingency Plan for the water customers of Tarrant Regional Water District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to implement mandatory time of
day watering and landscape irrigation restrictions in the City of Euless.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to work with the other TRA cities to
develop a uniform Drought Contingency Plan.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
the 27th day of June, 2006, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.
