A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE DISASTER DEBRIS MANAGEMENT PLAN
FOR THE CITIES OF BEDFORD, COLLEYVILLE, EULESS,
GRAPEVINE, AND HURST AS PREPARED BY TETRA TECH, INC.
WHEREAS, on November 12, 2019, the City Council ("City Council") of the City of
Euless, Texas, approved Resolution No. 19-1560, authorizing the application for the
submission of and receipt of a grant, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
(TCEQ) Solid Waste Pass — Through Grant Program through the North Central Texas
Council of Governments (NCTCOG) for funding to develop disaster debris management
plan for the cities of Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, and Hurst, with a total grant
value of $125,000, that is fully funded and does not require a city match; authorizing the
city manager as the authorized official to execute all documents in regard to the requested
funds, which includes the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant;
and
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2020, and amended on November 20, 2020, the City
Manager accepted an interlocal agreement between the City of Euless and the North
Central Texas Council of Governments to conduct the Disaster Debris Management Plan
project for the cities of Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, and Hurst; and
WHEREAS,the City of Euless agreed to serve as the lead agency by administering
the grant and ensuring the reimbursement; and
WHEREAS,The Disaster Debris Management Plan was completed in June of 2021
by Tetra Tech, Inc. and provided to each City and the NCTCOG for review; and
WHEREAS, on November 10, 2021, the plan was presented and accepted by the
Resource Conservation Council at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, accepts the Disaster Debris
Management Plan for the Cities of Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, and Hurst.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
February 8, 2022, by a vote of 7 ayes, o nays, and o abstentions.
