A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, AMENDING THE EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE FOR THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE OFFICES OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
PLACE ONE AND PLACE THREE TO BE HELD SATURDAY, MAY 7, 2022.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Election Code of the State of Texas and the Euless City
Charter, on January 11, 2022, the City Council approved Resolution No. 22-1614, ordering
a General Election to be held May 7, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council has determined that a contract with Tarrant
County Elections Administration for election services and equipment is in the best interest
of the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Elections Administration has advised of a change to
the early voting hours for Sunday, May 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Section 85.007 (a) of the Texas Election Code requires that the Election
Order and the Election Notice state the dates and hours that voting will be conducted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at a regular meeting held this date,
does hereby amend the early voting hours for Sunday, May 1, 2022, as follows:
May 1 (Sunday) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
SECTION 2.
Early voting by personal appearance shall be conducted at the Euless Family Life
Senior Center, 300 Midway Drive, Euless, Texas, 76039, and at the County's Main Early
Voting location, 2700 Premier Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76111. Branch offices for early
voting shall also be established as outlined in the joint election agreement with Tarrant
County.
Early voting by personal appearance will begin on Monday, April 25, 2022, and will
end on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, and the hours designated for early voting by personal
appearance shall be as set forth below:
April 25 — April 29 (Monday - Friday) 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
April 30 (Saturday) 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
May 1 (Sunday) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
May 2 — May 3 (Monday — Tuesday) 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
March 8, 2022, by a vote of 7 ayes, _o nays, and _ o abstentions.
