Parks and Leisure Services Board
December 6, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. On
Monday, December, 6, 2021, in the Pre Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by
Chairman Jones. Other Board Members present: Steve Doty, Roger Sickler, Jason Reyes, and Kay
Seger. Members absent: John Raab, Magen Brown and Isha Sharma.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Daniel Dearborn, Parks Superintendent Ryan Turner, and Administrative Secretary Jodie Dunn.
Visitors present: None
INVOCATION
Roger Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1.
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
November 1, 2021 regular meeting. Roger Sickler made the motion to approve the minutes as
presented and was seconded by Jason Reyes. The vote was unanimous.
I. Board Member Reports
a. Magen Brown — Heritage & S. Euless: Not present.
b. Steve Doty — J.A. Carr & Kiddy Carr: No items to report.
c. John Raab — Midway & Blessing Branch: No items to report.
d. Roger Sickler — Preserve & McCormick: No items to report.
e. Jason Reyes — West Park & Wilshire: No items to report.
f. Kay Seger — Reflection & Villages of Bear Creek: No items to report.
g. Isha Sharma — Bob Eden & Trailwood: Not present.
h. Chairman Jones — Parks at Texas Star: No items to report.
L Chairman Jones reported on the following Special Events:
• December 4, 2021, Parade of Lights, Turnout was great.

II. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Jason Reyes reported the following for November 1st_30th :
a. Total man hours for November 11-30th = 514
• 146 Horticulture
• 157 Forestry
• 30 Greenhouse
• 149 Special Projects
• 32 Training
➢ Planted Tree at Senior Center in observance of Texas Arbor Day.
➢ Put up Christmas Tree at City Hall
➢ Removed dead tree at McCormick Park
➢ Planted sun dial bed
➢ Planted color bed at Main St. Pavilion
➢ Trimmed back trees along Midway Field 4
➢ Boy Scouts painted VOBC stage
➢ Painted Bob Eden sign
➢ Trail work at Heritage Park
III. Parks and Community Services Reports
a. Community Services Report— Ray McDonald
• Ray McDonald reported on expected Euless Family Life modified hours and
closures.
• Ray McDonald reported on future plans for Blessing Branch including extending the
trail.
,I Chairman Jones thanked the staff for their reports.

No City Council Members or visitors present.

Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
