A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS WITH AREA
FIRE DEPARTMENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING AND RECEIVING FIRE AND /OR EMS
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless desires to contribute to the protection and safety
of citizens in this city and in surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, the legislature has authorized the formation of interlocal assistance
agreements between and among the cities and their fire departments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless wishes to participate in interlocal mutual aid
agreements among local fire departments for the purpose of providing and receiving fire
department assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all interlocal agreements
for fire department mutual aid assistance.
SECTION II
THAT this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage in
accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Euless.
PASSED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
the 13th day of May, 2008, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
