A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, APPROVING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR THE 2023 STATE HOMELAND
SECURITY PROGRAM (SHSP), GRANT NUMBER 4569601, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $71,100.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless City Council finds it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Euless, that the Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Program Swift
Water Boat Replacement Program be requested for the 2023 grant year, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless and Tarrant County find that vulnerability to many
potential hazards is shared by residents of the City of Euless and the unincorporated
portions of Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the
Office of the Governor funds, the City of Euless assures that the funds will be returned to
the Office of the Governor in full; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless designates Mayor Linda Martin as the grantee's
authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject,
alter, or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at a regular meeting held this date
does hereby approve the submission of the grant application for the Urban Area Security
Initiative Swift Water Boat Replacement to the Office of the Governor.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on April
26, 2022, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
