HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-03-30Called Meeting Euless City Council March 30, 1957 The City Council of the City of Euless was called by Mayor Payton for a special session on March 30, 1957, at 7:00 p.m., to consider the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission that 39.39 acres of land, more or less, in the E. Rodgers and Andrew H u i tt Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a l l of Euna Lee Moores property. The recommendation o f the City Zoning Commission was that a l l this 39.39 acres be rezoned as District C or Commercially zoned. On a motion by Councilman J. S. Anderson, and seconded by Councilman Luther Anders that the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission be accepted. A vote was taken after brief comments. A I I members of the Council Were present and voting. The motion was unanimously approved to accept the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission and rezone this land as District C or Commercial area. The City Secretary was instructed to so notify Mr. Geo. P. Gleeson of the Council's action and request him to have same published in a local paper as required by law, The vote was as follows: For: Councilmen Anders, Anders, Anderson, Fuller, and Payton Against: None Minutes Approved: /s/ Jimmy C, Payton Mayor Attest: /s/ Thos. Payton, for a special session on March 30, 1957, at 7:00 p.m., to consider the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission that 29.217 acres of land, more or less, in the A. J. H u itt Survey, and the E. Rodgers Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of the C. D. Wallrath and Joleeta Little Wallrath property, be rezoned "Commercial" or "District C" type of zoning. The recommendation of the City Zoning Commission was that all of this 29.217 acres be rezoned as "District C" or "Commercial" type zoning. On a motion by Councilman J. S. Anderson, which was seconded by Councilman Luther Anders, it was proposed that the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission's action be accepted. A vote was taken after brief comments, and al I members of the Council were present and voted. The motion was unanimously approved to accept the recommendation of the City Zoning Commission and rezone this entire tract of land as " District C" or "Commercial" area. The City Secretary was instructed to so notify Mr. George P. Gleeson of the Council's action and request him to have same published in a local paper as required by law.
