HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-02-17 PLANNING AND ZONING FEBRUARY 17, 2015 MINUTES The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Richard McNeese at 6:00 p.m. on February 17, 2015 in the Precouncil Conference Room of City Hall, 201 North Ector Drive. Those present included Chairman Richard McNeese, Vice Chairman LuAnn Portugal, Commission Members George Zahn, Kenny Olmstead, Ronald Dunckel, Steve Ellis, and David Brown. During the Pre-Session Meeting: • Development Update; Ferguson's Plumbing Supply, Glade Parks, Glade Parks South • Review Agenda Items PLANNING AND ZONING CONSIDERATION OF SCHEDULED ITEMS — PRECOUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM The Euless Planning and Zoning continued their meeting in the Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. for consideration of scheduled items. P & Z Meeting Minutes February 17, 2015 ITEM 1 CONSIDER APPROVAL OF PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES Regular Meeting of January 20, 2015. Vice Chairman Portugal made a motion to approve the minutes for called meeting of January 20, 2015. Commissioner Ellis seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Vice Chairman Portugal, Commissioners Olmstead, Portugal, Dunckel, Ellis, and Brown. Nays: None Abstention: Commissioners Zahn and Brown. The motion carried: (5-0-2) ITEM 2 CASE NO. 14-06-PP - CONSIDER APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT Consider a request for a Preliminary Plat of 2.393 acres of the Ben F. Crowley Survey, Abstract No. 320, tract 5A1 to Griffith Parc, Block A, Lots 1-8, A located at 1804 N. Main Street. Stephen Cook, Senior Planner, gave a brief description of the case. The applicant proposes to preliminary plat the 2.393 acres for eight (8) single family detached dwelling units and one open space lot. The technical aspects of the subdivision including setback distances, placement of easements, and street alignment are in compliance with the regulations of the Planned Development zoning district and the City of Euless Unified Development Code. The Development Services Group has reviewed the proposed Preliminary Plat and has certified that it meets the technical standards of the City of Euless. Staff recommends approval. There were no questions or comments presented by the Commission. Commissioner Brown made a motion to approve case #14-06-PP. Motion seconded by Commissioner Olmstead. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Vice Chairman Portugal, Commissioners Olmstead. Portugal, Dunckel, Ellis, and Brown.
