A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE TARRANT COUNTY MID - CITIES LOCAL
MITIGATION STRATEGY
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, with the assistance from the North Central Texas
Council of Governments has gathered information and prepared the Tarrant County
Mid - Cities Local Mitigation Strategy; and,
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Mid- Cities Local Mitigation Strategy has been
prepared in accordance with FEMA requirements at 44 C.F.R. 201.6; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless is a local unit of government that has afforded the
citizens an opportunity to comment and provide input in the Plan and the actions in the
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has reviewed the Plan and affirms that the Plan
will be updated in accordance to the plan maintenance process described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT the City of Euless adopts the Tarrant County Mid - Cities Local Mitigation
Strategy as this jurisdiction's Multi - Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, and resolves to
execute the actions in the Plan subject to available funding.
PRESENTED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council
on the 25th day of November, 2008, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and
o abstentions.
