Called Meeting
Euless City Council
April 3, 1957
Mayor Payton called the Council in a
special session on Wednesday, April 3, 1957, at 6:30 p.m. for the
purpose of considering some appropriate action concerning the disposition
of Mr. Ralph Homer Henslee's failure to ful.lfill the provisions of the
performance bond he made to the City of Euless guaranteeing the construction
and maintenance of the streets i n the Cedar H i l l Estates Addition to the
City of Euless. Since the statute of limitations will retire the bond
before its provisions can possibly be met, the City Council deemed it
essential to take( some legal action.
On a motion by Councilman Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Luther Anders, and after some discussion, the
following motion was unanimously approved and adopted:
"I make a motion that the Council authorize
P. Gleeson to take immediate legal action
of the present bond, or collect sufficient
collectable protecting the City, or secure
Homer Henslee a new, six months bond, with
provisions."

A present and voting quorum was composed
of Councilmen J. S. Anderson, Luther Anders, and Hubert Fuller. Councilman
Lucius Anders was absent.
Mayor Paytsn had previously contacted Mr.
Woolridge of Texas Power and Light Company as requested by Attorney
Gleeson, and reported to the Council that Mr. Woolridge had accepted the
financial responsibility of such suit in the courts.
The City Secretary was instructed to advise
Mr. Gleeson of the Council's action and Mr. Woolridge's promise that Texas
Power and. Light would assume financial responsibility.
at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Payton
