A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS,
APPROVING A CHAPTER 380 AGREEMENT BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF EULESS AND REPUBLIC TIRE
AND SUPPLY, OWNER MIKE MILLER AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code provides that
Texas municipalities may create programs to promote local economic development and
WHEREAS, Euless has approved a grant funding program as an incentive to
encourage new development and redevelopment projects that wIU promote local
economic development and stimulate business and commercial activity in the city; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 09 -1317 on August 25, 2009
authorizing the Ctty Manager to execute a Chapter 380 Agreement by and between the
City of Euless and Repubkc Tire and Supply, Owner Mike Miller; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Miller was not able to complete specific projects, as identified in
the original Chapter 380 Agreement, on or before March 1, 2010 in order to remain
eligthle for reimbursement and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Miler has now completed the specific projects as identified in
the original Chapter 380 Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT the Euless City Council hereby finds that the Agreement by and between
the City of Euless and Republic Tire and Supply, Owner, Mike Miller, embodies an
eligible "program° and clearly promotes economic development in the City of Euless,
Texas and, as such, meets the requisites under Chapter 380 of the Texas Local
Government Code and further, is in the best interest of the City.
SECTION 2
THAT the Euless ity Council authorizes the City Manager to execute an
Agreement by and between the City of Euless and Republic Tire and Supply, Owner,
Mike Miller.
APPROVED at a ular meeting of the Eul s City CounclS on the 17th day of
August 2010, by a vote of a 7 ayes, o nays, and o abstentions.
