A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, SUPPORTING
THE SUBMISSION OF A SAFER (STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE
AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE) GRANT APPLICATION BY THE
EULESS FIRE DEPARTMENT..
WHEREAS, The Euless City Council values the health, safety, and well -being of
its residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, Adequate training and staffing of first responders is a critical
mponent when responding to medical and fire emergencies; and
WHEREAS, The Euless Fire Department has identified the SAFER Grant as a
viable means for enhancing the department's ability to comply with staffing, response
and operational standards established by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA)
and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
The City Council of the City of Euless supports the submission of the SAFER
Grant Application submitted by the Euless Fire Department.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
the 14`x' day of September 2010, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
