D. 1954, pursuant to the provisions of Title 28, Chapter 2, of the 1925 Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, the ordinance of the Village of Euless, Texas, and Resolution No. 3, heretofore adopted on let., day of February, 1954, after due notice as by law provided, the general election to elect a Mayor, five Aldermen and a Marshal, for the Village of Euless, Texas, was held within the limits of said Village; and WHEREAS, on this 8th day of April, A. D. 1954, at a Regular Meeting of the Board. of Aldermen of said Village, the results of said election were canvassed by the Mayor in the presence of the Board of Aldermen, and the said Canvass showed that such result was as follows: FOR MAYO.A Joe Umphress FOB ALDERMEN, J. 8. Anderson Albert Tillery Luther Anders Hubert Fulier Ernest Millioan Jr. 119R MARSHA, E. V. Anderson ONE YEAR TERM 19 Votes ✓,,. ,QNE YEAR TERM 19 Votes 19 19 a 19 a 19 a QNE YEAR TERM 19 Votes v NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TEXAS: THAT the canvass of the result of said election be and is hereby approved, and that Joe Umphress receiving the highest number of votes for Mayor and the above names as shown for Aldermen and E. V. Anderson for Marshal are to serve as such officers for the term of one year from April 1, 1954, or until their successors are duly elected and qualified; THAT such officers are hereby instructed to take the oath of office as by law provided and to file such oaths with the Village Secretary. ADOPTED this 8th day of April, A. D. 1954.
