RESOLUTION NO. 12
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of April, A. D. 1957, pursuant to
,.►� the provisions of Title 28, Chapter 2 of the 1925 Revised Civil
Statutes, the Election Code of the State of Texas, and Resolution
No. 10, heretofore adopted on the _ _'3 -_day of February, A. D.
1957, after due notice as by law provided, the general election
to elect a Mayor and two Councilmen for a term of two years was held
within the limits of said City; and

WHEREAS, on the day of April A. D, 1957, at a meeting
of the City Council of said City] the results of said Election were
canvassed by the Mayor in the presence of the City Council and said
canvas showed the result thereof was as follows:
FOR MAYOR
Ernest Millican 94 Votes
William F. Fletcher 51 Votes
FOR COUNCILMAN
Bill Murray 95 Votes`
Sam Cadenhead 85 Votes X8'
Billy M. Randal 52 Votes
O. F. Dobbins 38 Votes
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
THAT the canvas of the result of said election, be and is hereby
approved, and that Ernest Miliican having received the highest number
of votes for the office of Mayor is hereby elected to said office and
is to serve as such officer for the term of two years from date hereof
or until his successor is duly elected and qualified.
THAT, Bill Murray and Sam Cadenhead having received the highest
number of votes for the office of Councilman ar-e hereby elected to said
office and are to serve as such officers for the term of twa years from
date hereof or until their successors are duly elected and qualified•
THAT, all such officers are hereby instructed to take the oath of
office as by law provIde d file such oaths with the City Secretary.
ADOPTED this day of April, A. D. 1957.
