HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-06-08Called Meeting Euless City Council June 8, 1957 Mayor Millican called the city council in a special session for June 8, 1957, at 5:00 p.m. Present were Mayor Millican, presiding, and Councilmen G. L. Anders, J. S. Anderson, S. H. Cadenhead, and Paul Horton. Meeting with the Council were two members fo the Planning Commission. Mr. Warren Fuller and Mr. Billy Randall, Attorney Geo. P. Gleeson, at the request of Mayor Millican, and Messrs. W. A. Elliott, West and Reaves, representing the Tri- Cities Development Corporation. The primary purpose of the meeting was to consider and dispose of a plat submitted by the Tri- Cities Development Corporation for City approval. Councilman Cadenhead offered a motion, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the Council approve the plat submitted by Tri- Cities Development Corporation, subject to the engineer's approval. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. A second motion by Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Cadenhead, moved that the Council approve these changes in the Bill- Hi Addition: eliminate Lot 6, and David Drive, south of Needles Street; eliminate Carolyn Street; substitute Block 3, Lots 1 to 9 inclusive. The motion was approved by unanimous vote. A motion by Councilman Anders, seconded by Councilman Horton, proposed that the City of Euless annex County Road No. 3091, known as Pipeline Road, beginning at the west city limits of Euless and continuing westward to the Hurst City Limits. The motion was adopted by a vote of three for and one opposing. Councilman Anderson opposed the approval of the motion. The City Secretary was instructed to send the Tri- Cities Development Corporation a statement for $25.00 for a service charge for the legal services of the City Attorney, Geo. P. Gleeson.
