A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL(COMMISSION) OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR USE IN THE
HEARING BEFORE THE RAILROAD COMMISSION OF TEXAS IN THE MATTER
OF THE LONE STAR GAS COMPANY'S APPLICATION, GAS UTILITIES
DOCKET NO. 248.
WHEREAS, the Lone Star Gas Company has made application before the
Railroad Commission of Texas for an increase in the rate to be
paid for gas at the city gates; and
WHEREAS, a Committee representing cities interested in the afore-
said application has made a study thereof and has recommended
that the that the application be opposed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas is vitally interested in the
aforesaid application and in the results thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL (COMMISSION)
OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
1. That the sum of $23.70 be, and is hereby, appropriated
from the General Fund of the City of Euless, Texas, said sum
to be placed in trust and used for the sole and only purpose
of preparing and presenting a case in opposition to the appli-
cation of the Lone Star Gas Company,. Gas Utilities Docket No.
248 before the Railroad Commission of Texas and in the courts,
if necessary, such fund to be disbursed and controlled by the
Committee hereinafter named, and any sums remaining upon con-
clusion of the work of such Committee to be refunded to the
City Treasury.
2. That the appointment of the Committee (composed of J.W.
Monk, of Dallas, Chairman, Jack Broad, of Brownwood, H. Louis
Nichols, of Farmers Branch and Richardson, Gordon Whitman, of
Ft. Fort Worth, Alien Harp of Childress, Charles R. Griggs, of
Sweetwater, and Joe P. Cox, Jr., of Sherman) is hereby ratified
and confirmed, and such Committee is authorized to represent
the interests of the City of Euless, Texas, bn the above described
matter.

ORDER AND NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY ELECTION
THE STATE OP TEXAS

CITY OF EULESS
SPECIAL ELECTION ORDER
I, Ernest Millican, Jr., Mayor of the, City of Euless, Texas, by virtue
of the power vested in me by law , do hereby order that a Special Election be
held in the City of Euless, Texas, on the 2nd day of May,,1,1959, being the first
.Saturday thereof, for the purpose of electing the following officer of said City:
A Councilman for the unexpired term of A. B. Tillery, who vacated
the office:: of Councilman by reason of death, from the date of the
election to the 1st day of Aprj4,1960, or until his successor is
duly elected and qualified. The candidate receiving the highest
number of votes shall be elected to such office for the unexpired
term of A. B. Tillery.
And, that said special election shall be held at the City Hall within said City, and
the following named persons are hereby appointed Managers thereof, to wit:

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
Clerk
The Chief of Police is hereby directed and instructed to post a properly
executed copy of this order and notice of special election at the City Hall, the
place where this special election shall beheld, and at two other public places
within the City. Said notice shall be posted thirty days before the date of said
election.
