Weldon Cannon attends and maintains contact with the Birdville Historical Society. He explained some differences between titles such as "society", "commission", "committee", etc. He noted that the Birdville Historical Society exists under the "goodwill" of the Birdville ISD. He also noted that if the Birdville ISD decided one day to dissolve the Historical Society, it could do so. Furthermore, if this should happen, the Birdville Society bylaws indicate that all the artifacts belonging to the Society would become the property of the Tarrant County Historical Commission. The question was posed regarding this situation with regards to the Euless Historical Preservation Committee. Mary Lib Saleh explained that Euless is a very different arrangement from the Birdville Historical Society in that all artifacts acquired by the Committee are in fact property of the City of Euless. Meaning, none of the items are in any danger of becoming acquisitioned by other entities. 4. Robert Nail has been working on re-caning the wheel chair. ADJOURNMENT David Massey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Gary Parker seconded the motion. Motion approved. The meeting adjourned at 11 a.m. Respectfully submitted by: Ofa Faiva-Siale City of Euless Parks & Community Services HPC MTG 060815 Page 4
