WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, 1964, pursuant to the provisions
of the election code of the State of Texas, the privisions of the Euless City
Charter and Resolution No. 68 of the City of Euless heretofore adopted
on the 11 day of March, 1964, after due notice as the law provided,
the general election to elect three City Councilmen for the City of Euless,
Texas, for a period of two years or until their successors have been duly
qualified, was held within the limits of said City; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, 1964, at a special meeting of the
Euless City Council the results of said election were canvassed by the
Mayor in the presence of the Euless City Council and the said canvass
showed that such results were as follows:
FOR COUNCILMAN:
Edward A. Smith
Don R. Warren
Tommy Edgar Wright
Robert A. (Bob) Baker
Frank E. Douglas
Bill J. Wright
Bobby R. Fulier
Paul D. Gates
Total Votes Cast: 536

242 Votes
127 Votes
139 Votes
253 Votes
85 Votes
2 59 Votes
191 Votes
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the canvass of the results of said
election be and are same hereby are approved and that Don R. Warren •
Frank E. Douglass and Bobby R. Fuller
•
having received the highest number of votes for the office of City Councilmen
are hereby declared elected to the office of City Councilmen for a term of two
(2) years or until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
THAT such officers are hereby instructed to take the Oath of Office
as by law provided, and to file such oaths with the City Secretary.
