Euless City Council
August 5, 1957
The City Council was called in a special
session for 6:00 p.m., August 5, 1957, by Mayor Pro Tern J. S. Anderson.
Councilmen present were Mayor Pro Tern
J. S. Anderson, presiding, and Councilmen G. L. Anders, S. H. Cadenhead,
and Paul Horton in attendance.
The purpose of the meeting was to revise
certain objectionable items in Ordinance No. 79, the planning ordinance.
On a motion by Councilman Horton, seconded
by Councilman Cadenhead, it was moved that Attorney Gleeson be instructed
to draw another ordinance revising Section V. (A), GENERAL REQUIREMENTS,
Paragraph (5) Street Grades: making l i n e 8 read, "3/10 of one per cent"
instead of the 5/10 as in Ordinance No. 79, and Section V (A) GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS, Paragraph (7) page 10, the fifth line to read "27 feet
from back of curb to back of curb" instead of "31 feet from back of curb
to back of curb ", as i n Ordinance No. 79. The motion was approved by
unanimous vote.

Mayor
Motion by Councilman Murray, seconded by Councilman Cadenhead, move
that the City Council purchase a police patrol car and borrow money
from Arlington State to pay for same, and that City Secretary be
authorized to make arrangements for monthly payments to Arlington State
Bank. Motion adopted. (See minutes of a special meeting of City
