HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-91 04-06-1965Resolution No. 91 WHEREAS, on the 6th day of April, 1965, pursuant to the provisions of the election code of the State of Texas, the provisions of the Euless City Charter and Resolution No. 83 of the City of Euless heretofore adopted on the 12th day of January, 1965, after due notice as the law provided the gen- eral election to elect one (1) Mayor and two (2) City Councilmen for the City of Euless, Texas, for a period of two years or until their successors have been duly qualified, was held within the limits of said City; and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of April, 1965, at a special meeting of the Euless City Council the results of said election were canvassed by the Mayor in the presence of the Euless City Council and the said canvass showed that such results were as follows: FUR MmYUR : W. G. Fuller Write In Sam A. Bowman S. H. Osborne Jim Puckett George E. Berart Woodrow Johnson Bill Martin FOR COUNCILMAN: Edward A. Smith Bill J. Wright Harold D. Samuels Bill Martin Bill L. Byers Write In Bill Martin S. H. Osborne George E. Berart Woodrow Johnson 459 Votes 1 Votes 1 Votes_ 1 Votes 1 Votes 1 Votes 1 Votes 106 Votes 266 Votes 309 Votes 100 Votes 373 Votes 4 Votes 3 Votes 3 Votes 3 Votes Total Votes Cast: 621 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the canvass of the results of said election be and am hereby approved that Wm. G. Puler is hereby declared elected to the office of Mayor for a term of two (2) years, or until his successor is duly electidnand qualified; and that Harold D. Samuels and Bill L. Byers, having received the highest number of votes for the office of City Councilmen are hereby declared elected to the office of City Council- man for a term of two (2) years or until their successors are duly electedn and qualified.
