WHEREAS, the population of Northeast Tarrant County has and is
ropidly increasing at an accelerated rate; and,
WHEREAS, the immediate future promises even greater growth and
development in Northeast Tarrant County; and,
WHEREAS, the cities in Northeast Tarrant County have joined
hands in forming the Mid - Cities Advisory Council with the avo®ed
purpose of assisting andek1 - §tbwth Addiman3cipal cooperation; and,
WHEREAS, the Cities of Bedford, Euless, Grapevine, Hurst and
Richland Hills and other communities in Northeast Tarrant County have
recognized the immediate need for a County Sub - Courthouse in Northeast
Tarrant County to serve the needs of the Tarrant County citizens residing
in such area; and,
WHEREAS, the Mid- Cities Advisory Council and the respective
City Councils of the aforesaid cities have made known to the Tarrant
County Commissioners Court their desire and the urgent need for a
County Sub - Courthouse in Northeast Tarrant County; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has recently acquired a sizeable
tract of land upon which the City of Euless proposes to build a municipal
and civic center; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will have available from such
tract a parcel of land upon which could be erected a permanent County
Sub - Courthouse without land cost to Tarrant County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the citizens 5f the City of
Euless and the City Council of Euless to cooperate with the Mid - Cities
Advisory Council and the other cities in Northeast Tarrant County in
obtaining a County Sub - Courthouse for Northeast Tarrant County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Euless City Council
that the Tarrant County Commissioners Court be informed and advised
that the Euless City Council offers to make available without cost to
Tarrant County, a tract or parcel of land upon which the County
Commissioners Court could erect a permanent County Sub - Courthouse; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Euless City Council will en-
deavor to cooperate with the Tarrant County Commissioners Court and the
Mid - Cities Advisory Council and all cities in Northeast Tarrant County
in obtaining a County Sub - Courthouse, either on the tract herein offered,
or upon such other tract that may be deemed suitable by the interested
governmental bodies.
