HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-07-25 ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT July 25, 2013 MINUTES The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment was called to order by Chairman RubyAnne Crites at 6:32 p.m. for consideration of scheduled items in Council Chambers in City Hall of the Municipal Complex. Chairman RubyAnne Crites stated there was a quorum of members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment present. MEMBERS AND STAFF PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: Chairman RubyAnne Crites Vice Chairman Steven Ellis Board Member Harry Zimmer Board Member Robert Wooldridge Board Member Clarence Moore Board Member Ronald Dunckel, Alternate #1 Mike Collins, Director of Planning & Economic Development Stephen Cook, Senior Planner Alicia Davenport, Administrative Secretary VISITORS: Mason Griffin ITEM 1 CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES for Regular Meeting of April 29, 2013. Board Member Moore made a motion to approve the minutes for April 29, 2013 as written. Vice Chairman Ellis seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman Crites, Vice Chairman Ellis, Board Members Wooldridge, Eilenfeldt, and Moore. Nays: None Abstention: None The motion carried (5-0-0) ITEM 2 CASE #13-02-ZBA — HOLD PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDER A REQUEST FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS SETBACK VARIANCES Receive public input and motion to approve a Telecommunication Variance for Lot 2R, Block 1 , Westpark Professional Centre Addition, 200 Block of Dock McGinnis Road. The applicant is requesting variance to the minimum separation distance from adjacent Page 1 of 2 Zoning Board of Adjustment Minutes July 25, 2013 City Attorney Wayne Olson was asked to brief those present on the case as it stands currently. Mr. Olson informed the Board that there is currently a notice of foreclosure of May 7th, 2013 by the lender to the property owner. Representatives of the owner(s) and the lender(s) gave their perspective on these matters. Board Member Dunckel made a motion to postpone the Amortization Hearing related to Shadow Creek Apartments until the foreclosure status has been determined and more information is provided to the Zoning Board Adjustment. Board Member Eilenfeldt seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman Crites, Vice Chairman Ellis, Board Members Wooldridge, Eilenfeldt, and Moore.
