Euless City Council
August 17, 1957
The City Council was called in a special
session on August 17, 1957, at 2:30 p.m.
Mayor M i l l i c a n presided. Councilmen
present were Messrs. J. S. Anderson, S. H. Cadenhead and Paul Horton.
A I I minutes of past meetings were read
and approved.
On a motion by Councilman Horton,
seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Council unanimously approved a move to
begin the pay of W. M. Sustaire, Chief of Police August 12, 1957•
On a motion by Councilman Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Horton, unanimous approval was given to a motion to
pay the Chief of Police's salary, making the first three checks payable to
salary and the fourth check payable to expense account.
On a motion by Councilman Cadenhead,
it was moved that Rady Engineering Company be instructed to withhold action
on the Midway Park plat pending City approval. The motion was withdrawn.
Cn a final motion by Councilman Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Cadenhead, the Secretary was instructed to purchase
two signs and posts, "School Zone - 20 miles per hour ". The motion was
approved by unanimous vote.
The Secretary was instructed by Mayor
Millican to:
1. Require of Garbage Collector, W 1 1 1 Jones, to complete a I i s t
of his customers immediately and to keep the I i s corrected for
the City's inspection at any time.
2. Insert minutes for a special meeting July 24, with Mayor
Millican presiding, and Councilmen Anderson, Cadenhead, and
Horton present. And so state in the minutes Councilman Cadenhead's
withdrawal of a motion offered in the preceeding meeting of
July 23.
3. Arrange a special meeting for August 19, 7:30 p.m., if Mr.
Bob Brady and Attorney Bondurant could attend.
