WHEREAS, the City of Euless continues to experience unprecedented
population growth, end
WHEREAS, the City of Euless Is priviliged to have an expanding
local business community, increasing almost dally in number of merchants
and in quality and variation of merchandise and services offered, and
WHEREAS, local merchants and businessmen serve Euless directly
by offering for sale to Euless citizens goods and services, and in-
directly by the payment of fees and taxes to pay for schools, streets,
police protection and other municipal services, and
WHEREAS, Euless has aggressive, local merchants and business -
men who are personally interested In the growth and welfare of Euless
as a city, and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council takes cognizance of the con-
tributions and efforts of Euless merchants and business community to
build a stable, self- supporting city, and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council recognizes that local pur•
chasing promotes and strengthens both the financial and employment
structure of Euless,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL
urges the citizens of Euless to S}.EULES$ Fl IT whenever practical
so as to promote and support the businessmen and merchants who have
chosen to make Euless the place to earn their livelihood.
