A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF HOLLYWOOD BLVD.
FROM 199 FT. WEST OF VINE STREET TO SOUTH MAIN,
WHITENER ROAD FROM 199 FT. WEST OF VINE STREET TO
SOUTH MAIN, SUNSET DRIVE FROM 199 FT. WEST OF VINE
TO SOUTH MAIN, VINE STREET FROM PIPELINE ROAD TO
220 FT. NORTH OF HOLLYWOOD, BROADWAY AVENUE FROM
SUNSET TO HOLLYWOOD, HENSLEE DRIVE FROM SUNSET TO
HOLLYWOOD, SIMMONS DRIVE FROM HIGHWAY 183 TO HUFFMAN
ROAD; DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS;
DIRECTING PREPARATION OF AN ESTIMATE OF COST OF SUCH
IMPROVEMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
Section 1: The Plans and Specifications for the improvement of the
following enumerated streets as prepared by the City
Engineer pursuant to the directive and resolution No. 139, dated
June 28, 1966, having been submitted to and considered by the City
Council and approved and adopted for the following streets:
a) Hollywood Blvd. from 199 ft. West of Vine Street
to South Main;
b) Whitener Road from 199 ft. West of Vine Street
to South Main;
c) Sunset Drive from 199 ft. West of Vine to South Main;
d) Vine Street from Pipeline Road to 220 ft. North of
Hollywood;
e) Broadway Avenue from Sunset to Hollywood;
f) Henslee Drive from Sunset to Hollywood;
g) Simmons Drive from Highway 183 to Huffman Road.
Section 2: The City Engineer shall advertise in the manner provided by
law for competitive bids on the construction of such
improvements.
Section 3: Following the opening of such bids, the City Engineer shall
prepare and submit to the City Council an estimate of the
cost of such improvements.
Section 4: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
