A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING ENGINEER'S
ESTIMATE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST Of IMPROVING
A PORTION OF HOLLYWOOD BLVD. FROM 199 FT. WEST OF
VINE STREET TO SOUTH MAIN, WHITENER ROAD FROM 199
FT. WEST OF VINE STREET TO SOUTH MAIN, SUNSET DRIVE
FROM 199 FT. WEST OF VINE TO SOUTH MAIN, VINE STREET
FROM PIPELINE ROAD TO 220 FT, NORTH OF HOLLYWOOD,
BROADWAY AVENUE FROM SUNSET TO HOLLYWOOD, 1114SLIE
DRIVE FROM SUNSET TO HOLLYWOOD, SIMMONS DRIVE FROM
HIGHWAY 183 TO HUFFMAN ROAD; CALLING A HEARING;
DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT AND MAILING OF NOTICE; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. Of THE CITY OF EUIESS, TEXAS:
Section 1: The attached City Engineer's Estimate of tho cost of
improving the following streets In the City of Euless,
Tarrant County, Texas:
Hollywood Blvd. from 199 ft. West of VI street
to South Main;
Whitener Road from 199 ft. West of Vine Street
to South Mtn;
Sunset Drive from 199 ft. West of VIno to South Main;
Vine Street from Pipeline Road to 220 ft. North of
Hollywood;
Broadway Avenue from Sunset to Ho ywood
Hens!** Drive from Sunset to Hollywood
Simmons Drive from Highway 183 to Huffman Road:
and the Engineer's Roll or Statement are approved and adopted, and It Is
found and determined that the estimated amounts of the several 'impactive
Items of cost of such improvements ore es shown thereon. All assessments,
however, shall be mode and leviod by the City Councll as it may doom just and
equitablo, having In view the spools' benefits in enhanced value to be re-
ceived by such parcels of property and the owners thereof, the equities of
such owners, and the adjustment of such assessments so as to produce a sub-
stantial equality of benefits roceivod and burdens imposed.
Section 2: On the 9th day of August, 1966, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., In the
Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 201 West Euless
Blvd., Euless, Twos, the governlng body of such City will give a hoisting
to all owning *butting property, or any Interest therein, on any mottor
constitutionally prerequisite to the validity of proposed assessments for
such improvements, and to contest the amounts of the proposed assessments,
the lien and liability thereof, the special benefits to the abutting property
and owners thereof by means of the improvements for which assessments are to
be levied, and the accuracy, sufficiency, regularity, and validity of the pro -
ceedings and contract In connection with such improvements and proposed
sastssments.
Section 3: The Ctty Secretary shall give notice of such hearing by advertise-
ment inserted at least threes t i►aes In some newspaper published
In the Ctty of Euless; the first publicalon to be made at least tan days be-
fore the data of the hearing.
;section 4: Although not required by tar, the City Secretary shall also mall
notices of such hearing to the owners (or their agents or
attorneys) of property In or abutting upon the portion of such streets describ-
ed In Section 1 above, Such notices shall be deposited in the Post Office at
Euless, Texas, at least ten days before the date of the hearing. Provided,
hover, these proceedings shall not be invalidated by any failure of the
City Secretary to mall such notices, or any failure of such owners (or their
agents or attorneys) to receive then.
Section 5: Terris Resolution shell be effective imaeediete1y upon adoption.
ADOPTED THE 26th DAY OF July , 1966 at a regular meeet i ng of the
City Council of the City of Euless by a vote of 4 ayes and nays:
