The HEB 2023 Youth in
Government Class
Starts Soon
The HEB 2023 Youth in Government class begins
in January. The cities of Hurst, Euless, Bedford and
the HEB Chamber of Commerce are partnering to
engage students in city government and community
involvement. As always, participants have the chance
to win a college scholarship! Classes will be held on
Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Transportation
will not be provided and meetings will be held at various
locations in HEB. A light dinner will be provided.

April 10 - Graduation
Applicants must live in Hurst, Euless or Bedford and
be a junior or senior in high school by January 2, 2023.

Holiday Closures
City Facilities will be closed December 23 - 26 and
January 2. Trash and recycling collection is not
affected and will follow the regular schedule. Please

Hey parents! Sign up your camper for our fun -filled
Winter Dayz Camp. Your child will enjoy a day full
of activities, games, arts and crafts and plenty of fun.
Make sure to bring lunch, two snacks and a water bottle
to camp every day. Winter Break Camp registration is
open to all members of our community. Camp dates
are December 19 - 22, 27 - 29, from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Don't throw away your live Christmas tree — recycle
it! Remove all decorations and lights from your tree
and then drop it off at the designated area of Midway
Park between December 26 and January 7. The City
will mulch your tree to be used throughout the year to
maintain parks and medians. On January 7 the Parks
Department will host a mulching demonstration from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may bring one bag to fill
with mulch for their gardens. For more information,

Experience the excitement of the season and see
Euless sparkle at this year's spectacular display of
moving lights. The theme for this year's parade is "A
Rockin' Christmas." The parade will start at Trinity
High School and will travel eastbound on Midway
Drive. Organizations of all kinds may enter floats for
free in the best parade in Texas. Parade award winners
will be announced on www.eulesstx.gov on Monday,
December 5.

Heritage Park. Visit the Himes Log House, McCormick
Barn, Fuller House and the Euless Heritage Museum
and learn about Euless history. You can listen to local
choirs sing your Christmas favorites, create holiday
ornaments, visit our petting zoo and let little ones
ride a pony. Kids can visit Santa Claus. There will be
kettle corn for sale along with free refreshments for
everyone. Holiday cheer and Euless history wrapped

We are throwing a potluck party this Holiday Season,
so bring your favorite dish to share. The Euless Family
Life Senior Center is providing meatloaf and mashed
potatoes; you bring the rest. Please bring enough to
serve 10 to 12 people.
If you prefer that the Senior Center make your side for
you, you can pay $10.00 to the center by December
1. You must be a member of the Euless Family Life
Senior Center to attend the potluck and registration is
required.

enjoy a delicious breakfast with you and your family.
Along with breakfast with Santa, local elves will have
fun crafts for children of all ages. Bring your phone
or camera for a picture with Santa. Due to limited
seating, reservations are required. Reservations will
be made by table only and there will be no payment

Senior Trip to Dallas
Arboretum

Stroll the garden to see the 25-foot-tall elaborately
decorated Victorian -style gazebos representing the 12
Days of Christmas. The garden comes to life in the
evenings for a beautiful nighttime experience aglow
with over one million lights. Enjoy the Christmas
Village, visits with Santa Claus, entertainment,
shopping, food and beverage options, as well as the
new 50-foot tall Dazzling Musical Tree with 42,000
lights and holiday tunes.
There will be a good amount of walking, so please
consider this before signing up for this trip. Plan to
arrive at 2:45. Departure time is 3:00 and the return
time is 9:00. The cost of the trip is $10.00, which
includes transportation and admission to the Dallas
Arboretum. Valid Senior Center membership and
registration for the trip are required.
