WHEREAS, the proposed regional airport for Tarrant and Dallas
Counties and the entire North Texas area could be the
world's greatest airport, and
WHEREAS, the regional airport would provide sixteen thousand
jobs and generate millions of dollars in new payrolls,
and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Tarrant and Dallas Counties have peti-
tioned in great number for an election to establish a
North Central Texas Airport Authority, and
WHEREAS, such an Authority is needed as a governing body to
supervise construction and operation of the regional
airport,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas goes on record this twenty -third day of May, in
the year 1967, as favoring establishment of the North Central
Texas Airport Authority and as urging all eligible citizens to
vote on June 6, 1967, for establishment of the Authority.
