WHEREAS, the City of Euless takes cognizance of the announced intention
of the City of Fort Worth to annex to the City of Fort Worth certain territory
adjacent to and immediately East and South of principal Euless business district,
and
WHEREAS, there is included within the territory to be annexed to Fort
Worth the developed residential areas known as Huntington Place Addition and a
part of Oak Crest Estates Addition (a substantial portion of Oak Crest Estates
Addition being presently located within the corporate limits of Euless), and
WHEREAS, the residents of Huntington Place Addition and Oak Crest Estates
Addition have been since first developed, and are presently, receiving both
Water and Sewer Service from the City of Euless, and
WHEREAS, the residents of such additions consider themselves a part of
Euless and utilize Euless' recreational facilities, library and schools, and
WHEREAS, such residential areas are geographically located near the
center of the Euless business district and are in fact approximately one mile
from the Euless City Hall and Municipal Complex, and
WHEREAS, the residents of such residential areas have petitioned Fort
Worth City Council to be allowed to become a part of and be annexed by the City
of Euless and have expressed such desire to the Euless City Council, and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Fort Worth and Euless have for a number of years
enjoyed a spirit of mutual good will and cooperation, having several joint
Public Service endeavors resulting in substantial economic benefits to both
Cities and their residents, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has come to respect and appreciate the
reasonable, just and equitable attitudes and actions of Fort Worth, and

WHEREAS, it is the hope of Euless City Council that the Fort Worth
City Council will personally visit the Huntington Place Addition and Oak Crest
Estates Addition to see for themselves the reasons and justification for the
request contained in this resolution;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Euless respectfully
urges and requests the Fort Worth City Council to favorably consider the petition
of the residents of Huntington Place Addition and Oak Crest Estates Addition to
be permitted to become a part of the City of Euless, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Euless City Council urges the Fort Worth
City Council to take into consideration the following facts in support of this
request:
1) The proximity of Huntington Place Addition and Oak Crest Estates
Addition to the center of Euless,
2) The fact that the City of Euless presently serves such additions
with water and sewer and other public services,
3) The desire of residents of such additions to be and remain an
integral part of the City of Euless.
PASSED AND APPROVED on the fourteenth day of October, 1969, by a vote
of 4 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council.
