HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-265 08-25-1970RESOLUTION NO. 265 A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD BY THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL JOINTLY WITH THE EULESS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO CONSIDER CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE EULESS ZONING ORDINANCE, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 347 ; THAT THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION SHALL CONSIDER AT SUCH PUBLIC HEARING THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 5 -103 AND SECTION 7 -300 THROUGH 306. OF THE EULESS ZONING ORDINANCE, THE CREATION OF MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS OF VARYING APARTMENT UNIT DENSITY PER ACRE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: I. That a special public hearing shall be held by the Euless City Council acting jointly with the Planning and Zoning Com- mission of the City of Euless, Texas, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the 22nd day of September, 1970, at 201 Ector Drive in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall to consider certain proposed amendments to the Euless Zoning Ordinance, providing for the creation of multiple- family dwelling districts of varying apartment unit density per acre in such districts. II. That the Euless City Council and the Euless Planning and Zoning Commission shall at such public hearing consider amend- ments to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Euless, Texas, as follows: "R-3" MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT shall be redefined and the amended "R -3" Dwelling District shall be denoted a low density multiple- family district and shall be designed to provide for a single family dwelling, town house or row houses and multiple- family dwellings at a density not to exceed twelve (12) units per acre. "R -4" MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT shall be redefined and the amended "R -4,1 Dwelling District shall be denoted a medium density multiple- family district and shall be designed to provide for a single family dwelling, town house or row houses and multiple- family dwellings at a density not to exceed sixteen (16) units per acre. ITEM II Council Minutes August 25, 1970 "R -5" MULTIPLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT shall be redefined and the amended "R -5" Dwelling District shall be denoted a high density multiple- family district and shall be designed to provide for a single family dwelling, town house or row houses and multiple - family dwellings at a density not to exceed twenty (20) units per acre. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption. ADOPTED the 25th day of August , 1970, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays.
