RESOLUTION BY THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL DESIGNATING
AND APPROVING THE PROPOSED LOCA`ON OF STATE O
HIGHWAY 360 AND REQUESTING THE APPROVAL AND
CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, there presently exists an immediate need for a
fully developed state highway and thoroughfare system within the
corporate limits of Euless, Texas, and its sister cities abutting
the Dallas -Fort Worth Regional Airport so as to provide for the
additional traffic generated by the development,construction and
operation of said regional airport; -end
WHEREAS, Knowlton, Ratliff and English, consulting
engineers for the City of Euless, acting upon direction of the
Euless City Council and upon consultation with the Dallas -Fort Worth
Regional Airport Board have designated a proposed location for
State Highway 360 which meets with the approval of the City of
, Euless, the City of Grapevine and the Regional Airport Board; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council has encouraged the
Metropolitan Highway Committee, a committee established in the
Hurst - Euless- Bedford - Grapevine -Mid- Cities area to seek to implement
and facilitate immediate construction of said proposed State Highway
360,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Euless, Texas, the City of Euless, Texas, adopts and recommends
the proposed location of State Highway 360 as shown by map on
file with the City Secretary of Euless, a copy of which map
prepared by consulting engineers Knowlton, Ratliff and English
dated June 9, 1970 as attached hereto and incorporated into
this Resolution by reference and the said City Council urges and
requests that the Texas Highway Department proceed to construct
and developState Highway 360 along such approved and proposed
location as soon as practical.
ADOPTED BY THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL this 23rd day of
February, 1971.
