BOARD MINUTES

Chairman Barney Snitz called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: Chairman Barney Snitz asked for a motion to be made to accept the
minutes of the May 7, 2015 meeting. Allan Gibbs made the motion to accept the minutes and Mike McGehee
seconded the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Barney Snitz welcomed the visitors.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
(„Sherry Knight commented on the monthly statistical report.
Sherry Knight introduced Nirjan Chapagain, Part-Time Library Aide in Circulation. Nirjan shared information
about his family, he attends UTA studying Electrical Engineering, and a brief description of his job
responsibilities in the Circulation Department.
Library Staff Update: Nicole Galindo is now in Tech Services and will be working on data projects. Kasey
Fanucchi is now the Teen Librarian in the Youth Department.
Library Events: Run 4 Hope, Youth Story time at Chick-fil-A on Mother's Day weekend, SRC, David Tribble
on June 29th, Book Buzz on June 27th, Verlon Thompson with Mike Brown at the Leon Hogg Amphitheater on
June 27th, Crafty Cricuit Corner every Wednesday in June, and Moonlit Purls on the 2nd and 4th Mondays from
6pm-8pm.
DISCUSSIONS:
1. Barney Snitz commented on the Vanderveer program and congratulated Sherry Knight on receiving her
15 year pin at the council meeting.
2. Allan Gibbs gave an update on the Books for Troops and working with the VA Hospital.
3. Mike McGehee gave an update on the ELF tile project.
4. Carol Kveck commented on the activities in the Youth Department.

CITIZEN AND VISITOR COMMENTS:
Mary Lib Saleh commented on the Vanderveer program and the Public Meeting on June 181H
LuAnn Portugal commented on the new developments in Euless and the 911 Memorial Climb at the
Renaissance Tower in Dallas.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Marcia Brown and seconded by Allan
Gibbs. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
