HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-01 1995-03-21RESOLUTION NO. 95-01 P&Z • • - • � �:� it - y �� � �� • .. r :. • •� � •ram • •-r •- - pursuant to the Euless City Charter, it is the responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Commission to develop and recommend a comprehensive plan for landscaping requirements for the City; and, WHEREAS , pursuant to Article VII. "Landscaping, Fences, Walls, Screening and Outdoor Storage Requirements" of the Code Of Ordinances section, the City has found it necessary to reassess the landscaping requirements in Section 84-334 of Article VII; and, WHEREAS, in order to provide for the beautification of the City and to preserve and protect the unique identity of its environment, as well as safeguarding and enhancing property values for preserving the economic base attracted by such factors, a change in the landscaping requirements is required for all properties other than one and two-family dwellings; and, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reassessed the landscaping requirements of the City of Euless and has determined it is in the City' s best interest to make certain amendments to Section 84-334 in the Code of Ordinances. NOW ri- • RESOLVED E PLANNING AND ZONING • ■ • OF THE CITY OF THAT, we hereby recommend the City Council approve the attached draft ordinance as contained herein, changing the landscaping requirements for very large street yards. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of March, 1995.
