WHEREAS, Cities of Euless and Bedford are in immediate need of a source
for purchase of raw water to provide for needs of their Citizens, and
WHEREAS, Euless and Bedford have petitioned the Tarrant County Water
Control and Improvement District No. 1 to make its Cedar Creek raw
water supply available directly to Euless and Bedford, and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1
is a governmental entity, publicly committed to the water needs of all
the people of Tarrant County, and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that Euless and Bedford obtain a commitment
forthwith from Tarrant County Water Control an Improvement District
No. 1 to make its raw water supply available, and
WHEREAS, Euless and Bedford have made clear their intent to secure a
water source other than from the City of Fort Worth so as to maintain
their respective governmental integrity, and
WHEREAS, Euless Council has directed its Mayor to appear at next regular-
ly scheduled meeting of Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement
District No. 1 to determine whether raw water will be available,
NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved by Euless City Council:
1. That Euless Mayor attend next regularly
scheduled meeting of Directors of Tarrant
County Water Control District No. 1 to
determine the availibity of raw water for
Euless and Bedford.
2. That Euless make known to Tarrant County
Water Control and Improvement District
No. 1 its firm intent with Bedford to
obtain a raw water source other than from
the City of Fort Worth.
ADOPTED BY THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL this 11th day of May, 1971.
