Minutes
January 9, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Suzy McCormick called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. The meeting was
held at the Heritage Museum, Euless. She extended a welcome to the attendees and guests.
MEMBERS PRESENT
Doris Brown, Patsy Hoover, Mary Hunt, Keith Jernigan, Suzy McCormick, Anniece McKanna,
Gary Parker, Helen Payton, Peggy Vandiver, and Mavy Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald and Parks and Community
Services Administrative Secretary Jodie Dunn.
VISITORS PRESENT
None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Gary Parker made a motion to accept the December 12, 2022 minutes as written; Patsy
Hoover seconded the motion. With unanimous approval, Ms. McCormick declared the
motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer Mavy Wright advised there has been no activity since the December meeting.
The ending balance of December 12 is $8,405.10 remains.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - Suzy McCormick updated the commission on the health of one
member and the passing of another former member.
STAFF REPORT - Mr. McDonald advised the attendees of his upcoming retirement. He
expressed appreciation to the City for the opportunity to serve. His retirement party will
be held on January 27 at 2pm at the Senior Center. He stated that the interim staff liaison
will be Assistant City Manager Wes Rhodes. He also mentioned there was minor BB gun
damage to the Fuller House and that a cleaning company will be cleaning the Fuller House
and Museum on Thursdays before the monthly Open House.
COMMITTEE REPORT/INPUT
1. Mary Hunt expressed gratitude to the City for providing a wonderful lunch at our
December meeting. She also suggested the committee members meet for lunch after
our monthly meetings as they are able.
2. Gary Parker recommended flowers be sent to the Golden family due to the passing of
Bill. It was mentioned that the ashes of David Massey was laid to rest on December 26 at
Calloway Cemetery.
3. As a reminder, the February Open House will be held prior to the monthly committee
meeting. It was suggested that the docents keep the same schedule as the January Open
House. If there was a scheduling problem, please contact Linda Pool.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business or discussion, Gary Parker made a motion to adjourn,
Mavy Wright seconded the motion. Ms. McCormick declared the meeting adjourned at
10:30a.m.
