A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING ENGINEER'S
ESTIMATE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST OF IMPROVING
A PORTION OF HARWOOD ROAD, FROM THE EAST PAVEMENT
LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 157 TO 125.2 FEET EAST OF
THE EAST RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE OF ECTOR DRIVE; CALLING
A HEARING, DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT, AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
Section 1: The attached City Engineer's Estimate of the cost of
improving the following street in the City of Euless,
Tarrant County, Texas:
Harwood Road, from the East Pavement Line of State High-
way 157 to 125.2 feet East of East Right -of -Way Line
of Ector Drive,
and the Engineer's Roll or Statement are approved and adopted, and it is
found and determined that the estimated amounts of the several respective
items of cost of such improvements areas shown thereon. All assessments,
however, shall be made and levied by the City Council as it may deem just
and equitable, having in view the special benefits in enhanced value to
be received by such parcels of property and the owners hereof, the
equities of such owners, and the adjustment of such assessments so as to
produce a substantial equality of benefits received and burdens imposed.
Section 2: On the 8th day of August, 1972, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., in the
Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 201 Ector Drive,
Euless, Texas, the governing body of such City will give a hearing to all
owning abutting property, or any interest therein, on any matter consti-
tutionally prerequisite to the validity of proposed assessments for such
improvements, and to contest the amounts of the proposed assessments,
the lien and liability thereof, the special benef :ts the abutting
property and owners thereof by means of the improv..,.._, for m;,ich assess-
ments are to be levied, and the accuracy, sufficiency, reculLri':y, and
validity of the ;proceedings and contrace in conne cL;o.^ with such improve -
ments and proposed assessments.
Section 3: The „'ty Secretary shall give notice o:` uch hearing by
adve :isement inserted at least three. -es in soma newspaper
published in the city of Euless; the first publicat o.. eo be mace at
least ten days before the date of the hearing.
Section 4: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
ADOPTED THE 11th day of July, 1972, at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Euless, by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays.
