February 13, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Mavy Wright and was held at the Heritage
Museum, Euless. She extended a welcome to the attendees and guests.
MEMBERS PRESENT
Doris Brown, Patsy Hoover, Keith Jernigan, Anniece McKanna, Gary Parker, Helen Payton,
Linda Pool, Peggy Vandiver, and Mavy Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
Assistant City Manager Wes Rhodes and Parks and Community Services Administrative
Secretary Jodie Dunn.
VISITORS PRESENT
Joe Robinson
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Gary Parker made a motion to accept the January 9, 2023 minutes as written; Doris Brown
seconded the motion. With unanimous approval, the motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer Mavy Wright advised the January 9, 2023 balance was $8,405.10. An expense of
$100.67 was made for funeral flowers for Bill Golden on January 12. On January 12, a
deposit of $42 made made; and a deposit of $20 was made on January 18. The ending
balance as of February 13 is $8,366.43.
STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Docents and Volunteer Report/Recruitment—Linda Pool distributed signup sheets for
the March and April Open House events.
2. Acquisition —no report
3. Facebook—Linda Pool reported the Facebook page is active and working well.
4. Plaque—Mavy Wright stated the memorial plaque is being prepared.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - no report
STAFF REPORT - Assistant City Manager Wes Rhodes was available to entertain inquiries.
COMMITTEE REPORT/INPUT
1. Mavy Wright stated there were 22 guests at the museum in January, including Patsy
Hoover's niece from Kansas. It was also mentioned the new members (Keith Jernigan
and Patsy Hoover) need badges. Pending approval of the City Council to be appointed to
the Committee, Joe Robinson will also need a badge.
2. Gary Parker stated there were about 15 attendees at the burial service for Bill Golden.
Linda Pool mentioned a representative of the North Texas Blacksmithing Association
had inquired on Facebook about a presentation at Heritage Park. Due to current
situation with open flames, Mr. Rhodes stated he would contact the Fire Administration
and would report back to the Committee.
4. Mavy Wright presented a binder with extensive documentation of the Museum
inventory and loan items. It has been a lengthy process, but she is proud of the
documentation.
S. Anniece McKanna inquired about the floorplan of the Fuller House and what fixtures and
furnishings were original to the home. Linda Pool responded.
6. Keith Jernigan expressed appreciation for the sign updates for the museum Open House
hours and asked if the City of Euless newsletter could spotlight the Museum in order to
reach more visitors. Mr. Rhodes stated he would submit a request to City Staff for a
future article.
7. A reminder of the upcoming Boards and Commissions Annual Appreciation Banquet was
mentioned. The City of Euless is celebrating 70 years.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business or discussion, Doris Brown made a motion to adjourn,
Linda Pool seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 11:00a.m.
