WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments
has instituted a survey and study entitled "The Open Spaces
Program" recommending certain minimum standards for public
and private parks, open spaces and recreation areas, and
WHEREAS, the open space program of the North Central
Texas Council of Governments is designed to coordinate open
space planning and utilization of park and recreational areas
for cities and counties in the North Texas area so as to meet
the
immediate and future
of the North Texas area,
WHEREAS, the Euless
open
and
City
space needs of the
Council recognizes
citizens
that overall
planning, joint utilization and mutual cooperation by and
between COG, affected cities and counties will mutually bene-
fit all citizens of the North Texas area, and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council desires to express its
appreciation to and in support of COG in the development and
implementation of the open space program for the North Texas
area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Euless City
Council encourages development and implementation of the open
space program as proposed by the North Central Texas Council
Resolution No. 312

of Governments and pledges the continuing cooperation of the
City of Euless in seeking to attain adequate parks, open spaces
and recreational areas for the citizens of Euless and her sister
cities in the North Texas area;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution upon
execution by the Mayor and the attest by the City Secretary
be forwarded to the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
