Chairman Barney Snitz called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: Chairman Barney Snitz asked for a motion to be made to accept the
minutes of the March 5, 2015 meeting. Chris McAllister made the motion to accept the minutes and Allan
Gibbs seconded the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Barney Snitz welcomed the visitors.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Sherry Knight commented on the monthly statistical report.
Sherry Knight introduced Amanda Torres, Part-time Library Aide in the Circulation Department. Amanda
commented on her role as Ambassador with our Outreach events.
Sherry Knight commented the library is working closely with Parks and Community Services to put the Sounds
of the Seasons music series together.
Sherry Knight reported that 58 attended the 3-D Printer demonstration.
Sherry Knight presented a general library presentation that board members may use to promote the library at
outside organizations
Upcoming Events:
April 11 th through 13th Annual Spring Book Sale
April 24th Edible Book Contest
April 24th and 25th Arbor Daze
Library Outreach Events:
First United Methodist Church School, First Baptist Euless School, Children's Courtyard, Manchester
Apartments, other day care centers, Parade of Lights, and musical events

DISCUSSIONS:
I. Barney Snitz commented on Beyond The Pale
2. Carol Kveck commented on the iPad stations in the Youth Department
3. Loretta Doty commented on the Boards and Commission Dinner at the Texas Star
4. Chris McAllister commented on the computers in the Youth Department
5. Allan Gibbs gave an update on the Books for Troops and working with the VA Hospital
CITIZEN AND VISITOR COMMENTS:
Leon Hogg commented on the local lake levels and Calloway Cemetery
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Marcia Brown and seconded by Allan
Gibbs. The meeting was adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
